Our Achievement

Manika Jewellery was first launched in 2015 at the Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW), a national event that took place from February 26 to March 1, 2015, at the Jakarta Convention Center. The event featured 747 local brands in the fashion industry and attended by several international buyers and media. It was a major success in terms of promoting Indonesian fashion to the world, and it helped to make the industry more sustainable. Since then, Manika Jewellery has been well-known and awarded numerous awards for its products. The company has been recognized for its exquisite craftsmanship, innovative designs, and commitment to excellence. In 2016, the uniqueness of Manika Jewellery got the eyes of the curator, Mr. Samuel Wattimena (a famous Indonesian designer), and chosen to be nominated in INACRAFT 2016 Ministry of Trade Pavilion

The INACRAFT Awards is an annual competition that recognizes the best of Indonesian handicrafts. The awards are organized by the Association of Exporters and Producers of Indonesian Handicraft (ASEPHI) and are held in conjunction with the INACRAFT trade fair. There are more than 1000 products that have been selected for the INACRAFT Award by professional judges that have received a Certificate of Excellence from UNESCO since the involvement of ASEPHI in this program. There are seven categories of handicraft products to be evaluated, namely: ceramics, natural fibers, textiles, woods, stones, metals, and other materials. Out of these seven categories, the best product will be selected to receive the INACRAFT Award and a special award for Emerging Products. Each category has a several subcategories, such as furniture, home decor, toys, and jewellery. To be eligible for the INACRAFT Awards, products must be made in Indonesia using traditional handicraft techniques. The products must also be of high quality and meet the judges’ criteria for craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation.

 

ASEPHI expects this program could improve the understanding of the craftsmen and the business players in the craft creative industry to work and further create craft products of Indonesian taste but having international standards and quality, and keep taking care of environmental preservation in the production process as products to be accepted by the global market.

Femina Awards is an annual event organized by Femina, a leading women’s magazine in Indonesia, to recognize and celebrate the achievements of women entrepreneurs in Indonesia. The awards are given in a variety of categories, including food, home decor, beauty, fashion and lifestyle. In 2008, Femina Awards partnered with Inacraft Indonesia, the largest handicraft trade fair in Southeast Asia. The partnership allowed Femina to identify and recognize the best products and services created by women entrepreneurs at Inacraft. The award is judged by a panel of experts from Femina magazine, as well as by representatives from the Indonesian government and the handicraft industry. A team of Femina editors visited hundreds of booths at Inacraft to select the winners of the Femina Award. The award is given to local products that meet the following six criteria, namely: women’s work, original ideas, unique designs, innovative, efficient, and represent the best of Indonesian craftsmanship. The winners were announced at a ceremony held during Inacraft. Manika Jewellery products; a brass ring with crystal & pyrite has won the 2016 Femina Awards, while the aromatherapy necklace has won the 2017 Femina Awards. The Femina Award is a valuable platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services to a wider audience. It also helps to raise awareness of the important role that women play in the Indonesian economy.

In 2019, Manika Jewellery won the IGDS awards for its products; pyrite drawer knob and Pyrite in the cage necklace.

The Indonesia Good Design Selection (IGDS) is an annual competition that recognizes and promotes good design in Indonesia. It is organized by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. The awards are given in a variety of categories, including product design, interior design, graphic design, and fashion design. To be eligible for the IGDS Awards, products must be designed and manufactured in Indonesia. The products are judged by a panel of experts, who consider factors such as functionality, aesthetics, innovation, and sustainability. The IGDS Awards are an important platform for Indonesian designers and businesses to showcase their work and to compete on a global stage. The awards also help to raise awareness of the importance of good design in Indonesia.
