Manika Jewellery is an authentic handmade brass jewelry brand based in Bali, Indonesia, and was founded in 2015 by Irene Setiawati. Our products incorporate unique designs combining brass with natural gemstones, pearls and other resources which are available in Indonesia. We use brass as its basic materials because it’s a durable metal that can withstand wear and tear, and it’s also relatively inexpensive. But what really sets brass jewelry apart is its unique beauty. The warm, golden color of brass can be extremely flattering, and it can be styled to complement any outfit. All of Manika Jewellery collections are crafted by hand, one piece at a time and mainly in brass nano coated allowing long-lasting and flexibility to soothe our customers. You can find each of our creations with their own story and uniqueness, namely, stone motifs with their original shapes which we hope will give you positive vibes and natural impression when worn.
We try to maintain Balinese ethnic characteristics with a more modern look. We use traditional techniques for contemporary designs to explore the craftsmen expertise in a work that can showcase the natural beauty of Indonesia. We have collaborated with local artisans for more than twenty years and we’re collaborating with the second generations this decade.
Manika Jewellery was first launched in 2015 at the Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW), a national event that took place from February 26 to March 1, 2015, at the Jakarta Convention Center. The event featured 747 local brands in the fashion industry and attended by several international buyers and media. It was a major success in terms of promoting Indonesian fashion to the world, and it helped to make the industry more sustainable.
Since then, Manika Jewellery has been well-known and awarded numerous awards for its products. The company has been recognized for its exquisite craftsmanship, innovative designs, and commitment to excellence.
In 2016, the uniqueness of Manika Jewellery got the eyes of the curator, Mr. Samuel Wattimena (a famous Indonesian designer), and chosen to be nominated in INACRAFT 2016 Ministry of Trade Pavilion
